Terms of Use

1. What Bloom is

Bloom is an iOS app that helps you record and organize your personal finances — transactions, accounts, cards, loans, installments, bills, budgets, and savings goals. It runs on your device, with optional private iCloud sync between your own devices. There is no Bloom server; there is no Bloom account.

2. What Bloom is not

Bloom is not financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, or a substitute for a licensed advisor. Any suggestions, insights, advisor summaries, or AI-generated narrations inside the app are informational summaries of numbers you entered — not recommendations. Use your own judgment for real financial decisions.

Bloom's card-payment feature records a payment you made (or plan to make) so your balances stay accurate. It does not actually move money or communicate with your bank. Real payments happen in your banking app or branch.

3. Your data is your responsibility

• You keep the only copy that matters — on your device, and (if enabled) in your iCloud.
• Bloom has no server-side backup and cannot restore data you delete.
• Use the built-in Export all data feature (Settings → Data) to keep a portable copy.
• If you factory-reset your device, sign out of iCloud, or uninstall the app, your local data may be lost. iCloud copies remain under your Apple ID's control.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Bloom Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) through Apple's App Store. Here's the plain version:

• Billing. Apple charges your Apple ID at the price shown at purchase. Prices may vary by region and may change; Apple will tell you before any price increase takes effect.
• Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Cancel any time. Settings app → [your name] → Subscriptions → Bloom. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep premium until the end of the current period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Bloom cannot issue refunds directly.
• Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

5. Acceptable use

Use Bloom for your own personal-finance tracking. Don't:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app's source, unless the applicable law permits it.
• Redistribute or resell the app or paid features.
• Use Bloom to store or process anyone else's personal data without their permission.
• Use Bloom in a way that violates Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

6. Third-party services

Bloom relies on a few Apple platform frameworks and two small third-party SDKs:

• iCloud / CloudKit — optional cross-device sync of your data (Apple).
• FinanceKit — optional read of your Apple Card / Cash / Savings activity, on-device (Apple).
• Shortcuts — optional Apple Pay / bank-notification auto-logging via automations you build (Apple).
• Speech, Vision, Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) — on-device voice-to-text, receipt OCR, and AI features (Apple).
• Local Authentication — Face ID / passcode app-lock (Apple).
• StoreKit — subscriptions and in-app purchases (Apple).
• Sentry — crash and app-hang reports plus the Send-feedback form (third party; opt-out in Settings → Privacy).
• Aptabase — anonymous usage counters (third party; opt-out in Settings → Privacy).

What the third-party SDKs collect and how to opt out is described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of all of the above is also governed by Apple's and the respective provider's terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Bloom is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that Bloom will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate. Automatic categorization, projections, advisor summaries, loan-calculator outputs, minimum-payment estimates, and AI-generated insights are best-effort — check the numbers before acting on them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Bloom is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of Bloom — including lost data, lost profits, missed financial opportunities, or payments you based on Bloom's displayed numbers.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Bloom after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Termination

You can stop using Bloom at any time by uninstalling the app. Since there's no Bloom account, there is nothing to close — just remove the app and (if desired) turn off iCloud sync for Bloom in iOS Settings. If you have an active Bloom Pro subscription, cancel it from iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions so Apple doesn't bill the next period.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes should first be raised by contacting the address below.
